Employee complaint

I was in the rural king store in farmington mo. There was a employee named stephanie sitting on a box reading a book in the chicken aisle. Also another employee named Dakota was standing there talking to her. I mention the chickens didn't have any water and one was dead. She said ok i will take care of it. Then she continues to talk with the employee. She needs to be fired. How can management pay someone that is not doing anything? Management not taking care of the problem.

we love going to the rual king in hartland mich. and taking our dog with us the employees are always nice.the prices are good also.

On March 21, 2019 I went to customer service with 2 lawnmower batteries in my possession. A new 1that I had purchased a few weeks before that would not work. And the Old core that I didn't bring with me when I first bought the new battery. I told employer I wanted to exchange the new battery for the exact same battery and I would like my money from the core from the original purchase. She in turn took the battery I had purchashed and advised me to go get another one. When I returned she rang up the new battery and proceeded to hand me a new receipt. I in turn said I'm due money for my core that I brought in. She looks at me and said you need a core for the new battery. I told her the core I gave you was for the initial battery purchase I had made several weeks ago. She insisted we were even. I again showed her the original receipt , pointing out I was charged extra when I made purchase for not having the core battery, 'Im returning it now and I wanted my refund. Just wondering where you get these people from, it doesn't take a genius to finger this out. Although I eventually got my refund after about 30 minutes. My point is this should have been a 5 minute encounter.

The battery you returned and the new battery would be an even swap if it's a matter of two or three weeks. There wouldn't be a core credit for the first battery since you didn't have a core with you.

Any credit for a core should be applied to the second battery and noted on the receipt for that battery. There is no "money due".

Wish a Rural King would locate in the Fredericksburg, Va. area.

Only one Tractor Supply in immediate area. Last feed store, Roxbury Mills has announced it is closing after the Spring season. Still many farms and gardens in this area. Consider?

Looks are deceiving!

Makes no sense that they have designated parking spots for veterans but offer no veterans or military discount. Reaaalllly, they just lost 4 customers. I will never go to this store again. We can park anywhere, a discount thanking our veterans for their sacrifice is what makes sense.

Extremely rude

I called customer service explaining to them that i am looking for a product (sku4070****) and have been unaboe to find any locally. The very rude lady i spoke with told me that i could get 5 bags from a store that is 3 hours round trip away or 100 bags from a store that is about 7 hours round trip away. I asked her if there was a store to store transfer and she stated no. I asked if there was anyone i could speak with about that and she stated there was noone to talk to about changing a store policy.i shop at rural king about 2 times a week, spending close to 100 dollars each time and her stating that customer service was the corporate office and not letting me speak to a supervisor was very unprofessional. The wood pellets i am looking for is the only way we heat our home and another customer bought the last 2 pallets that have been shipped to our store. It is 8 degrees outside and i have no heat in my home. If i am unable to get these pellets i will have no heat in my home for the next 7 days that it is to be around -3 degrees outside all week.

Purchase a firearm

Went to pick up a layaway firearm was blocked from their system due to someone else having the same name.called corp office spike with mrs Adams who was terribly rude and told me in so mamy words dodnt care if i shopped there.needless to say they have lost a very good customer. And word of mouth is the worst.ill make sure to let everyone i come in contact with how rual king treats its customers!!!! So very disappointed. The smiths

Cat liter ordering

Your elyria store is always out of rural king brand 25 and 40 pound. I tried to call and talk to someone in charge of ordering but no one seems to know who is in charge. So i will not go back to rural king i have a walmart and tractor supplu just down the road

Ordered grill in Nov for Xmas gift, still havent received as of Feb. No response from them. Had to call to cancel today since they have my payment info. Rep. was pleasant but no apology or explanation.

I don't think a car show generates one iota of profit for the property owner / store. If anything it drives off legitimate shoppers who don't want the extra traffic, noise, and general annoyance.

I worked at Rural King in the small engine Department .It didn't take me long to find out that they don't care about the customers at all . They don't want to order parts and they want you to tell the customer it will take 2 to 3 weeks to get parts its a joke. They have had people's stuff there 3 6 or even a year Waring take your stuff somewhere else if you want it fixed

Poor customer service

Today I went in to purchase items as usual, and purchased antifreeze that was labeled $8.99, as I completed checkout I reviewed my receipt and discovered I was charged $9.99, I asked for the refund of $1.00 because I was overcharged. It was stated from the customer service guy that he had to know the price before he could give me the difference. I said okay and he just stood there like he was lost, I asked "Do I have to do your job for you?" and he said no but still just stood there. After waking up he asked where did I get the item. I got frustrated and said "just give me a refund of the antifreeze", and neither employee paid any attention to my request which would have allowed me to leave without the antifreeze but not so frustrated. (of course they offer to refund you on one of their gift cards so they can hold your money hostage) So I told the cashier to follow me...we found a stack that was white and he said "there is your problem, yours is gold. I told him I wouldn't have purchased it for $9.99 and I know I saw it for $8.99. He started to leave and I said, come back this isn't over, we finally found it and indeed it was labeled $8.99. There was probably 10 bottles stacked at that label.....I know that all stores make mistakes, it is how they handle them that is important. If they had a better attitude and a little more than minimum wage energy it wouldn't have been so aggravating.....They gave me a refund finally of my $1.07 and said have a good day.....I put my stuff in my car, thought about it, and went back into the store and asked to speak with a Manager, they got on the Store walkie talkie and announced for a manager to come up front, the manager responded, on the radio..."WHAT DOES HE WANT" I felt like I was in KMart or something. This young girl came up and I asked her are you a manager, she said she was something like an assistant manager and listened to me, but you could tell she just wanted this conversation over......So the conclusion is RURAL KING just doesn't care that they make a customer do their job and only give him back the money they made a mistake on, and an "I'm sorry". The employees are paid to be there, I am not. Why do I have to fix their problems and mistakes on my time ....They just should have given me the refund of the $9.99 (NOT A GIFT CARD FOR THEIR MISTAKE) and I would have been miffed but got over it. Now I will tell EVERYBODY I know how I was treated at the Morganton RURAL KING store. I used to like that store but now it gives me a sour stomach..... I know that all stores make mistakes, it is how they handle them that is important. (Sam Walton)
