Discontinued Calendars

WHY did rural king discontinue their fishing calendars?????? I looked forward every year to getting a calendar for my camper, then when camping I could look at it and KNOW if the fishing was good, bad, or indifferent. Last year I asked for one and the Clerk said they were not in yet. I went back Three weeks in a row, Finally to be told they had discontinued them. Pissed, YOU bet so I told the clerk that I would go to Tractor Supply, and see if they had calendars, They did not, but It's just about the same distance to buy whatever I need, and I am not p,o,ed at them.

I am also a pissed off customer.

I had purchased antifreeze a couple of times which I was supposed to get a $3.00 rebate for each one. They turned my rebate down for no apparent reason. So now I have to go back and try again. This is unreal. I did nothing wrong the first time. Who has time for this! So I have decided I won't buy anything from there that has a rebate again unless something changes. This is a shame because I have wanted some of the sales that have a rebate, but I would not purchase it. So I suggest that they fix the problem because they are losing business. I don't believe that I am the only one that feels this way.

The peanuts are free to eat in the store as you shop. Just like the popcorn you eat while shopping. Each store should post how they are free, I understand your confusion.

St clairsville ohio store very badley managed

This is my sad little story. I wanted a job working with people, so i applied to rural king for firearms associate and got the job, i was so trilled to have the job that i really wanted to do an excellent job at it. there was very little training i was thrown into the job and after three weeks the friendly co works and managers attitude toward me change to unfriendliness cold. they asked me to go to cashier up front with a cut in pay of a dollar an hour i said no . after that every time i called for a manager it took 3 to 4 calls just to get them to answer then they came up with customers are complaining its taking me to long to do a gun sale i find that total BS so i feel i was pushed to quit . so all i wanted was to work a job i liked for just a little while until i had to resign in order to get ready for a kidney transplant. that is my unhappy little story of working at rural king.

Rural King - Manager Review from Etowah, Tennessee

My experience is with the marion ohio store and it has a *** poor store manager. One asst manager talks to employees like they are dirt. Half the kid employees do nothingbut stand around or follow other employees around. There is nothing done about call offs or people not doing their job. Poor customer service all the time. I dont see this store lasting two more years. Not with the store manager as blind as he is. Never encountered such disgust in the way the store is ran. Something needs to be done or their business will decrease. Just ask some of the employees how the store is ran. I have.

Could not place order for hay wheel rakes

Employee at Angola Indiana store said I had to place order with check out clerk.I talked to check out clerk who told me to talk to Katelyn. Katelyn said only the manager could do the ordering, but never offered to get a manager or offered any help in placing the order. When I told her it was a $300.00 Order, she said so. She didn't even act like she cared. I guess I will have to find another Rural King or another store that handles this kind of merchandise, or are willing to help me get the merchandise.

Paid for in advance, but out of stock?!

Appr. 2 weeks ago I drove 30 miles to Muncie, In. to purchase a gun safe. I paid for it and notified the manager that I would return on Sunday day to pick it up and I did not want any complications. I was promised that the safe was being taken to the back room and was marked as sold, To Be Picked Up By Sunday. In preparation for this I rearranged the room it was to be put into and removed the seats from my van. When I arrived with my receipt I was met with confusion?! I was notified that there was none in inventory and out of stock! I said, "I know it's not in inventory. I purchased it 5 days ago". After several walkie talkie conversations I was informed that I could have the one from the floor that had holes drilled in the back or wait 2 weeks for a new one! What?!?!? I repeated the story to the shift manager and was met with a confused look and an uncaring Sorry! I got my money back and left. I was furious. I tried to call the other manager, Ernest, a few times, but he was never available. RURAL KING, what are you going to do about this?? I'm very upset about this and still have no safe! Please reply. I will try to send copy of CC receipt and return credit. Otherwise I will have to mail copies.
