You can call the Corp store in Mattoon, IL and ask for customer service. The store should have been able to take care of you on the spot but once you get in contact with Corp your problem will be resolved quickly.

Rural King in Saint Clairsville, Ohio - Made several large purchases!

I have spent a ton of cash at the Saint Clairsville store for the 12 percent rebate. The folks were very nice to me and helpful. A certain amount was not knowledgeable about certain items but try hard. I had sent in 3 rebate slips, hopefully I will not have any issues with the program. The store is relatively new and time should ease the knowledge issues somewhat. I give this store a pretty high rating at least for now: ) The store was a welcome addition to our local work force. I don't know a person that works there but they all seem very pleasant even though everyone needs and wants more cash and perks.

If you completed the online form then it will take eight weeks and you'll get the rebates on rural king gift cards.Depending on how many receipts you claimed is the amount of gift cards you'll get.

Rural King is Super

Every time I go to our Rural King it is a super experience. Thank Heavens they opened to compete with another inferior Farm Supply Store that shall remain nameless. They have a reasonable inventory of everything I need, and are seldom out of stock. The people are friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well lighted. Is this a great company or what! Thank you Rural King for coming to our little town. And thanks for the popcorn at the front door. I could go on about how they always give a refund with not hassles when I make a mistake. They help with loading heavy items. And welcome pets into the store with open enjoyment. How can there be so many negative comments about a company that packs them in and is very successful at what they do?

Rural King in Dayton, Ohio - Never in stock

I have a potbellied pig and I go to Rural King in Huber Heights Ohio to get her food. The past few times I have been there, they are either out totally or have 1 or 2 bags left. The shipment was suppose to come today (Thursday, March 21, 2013) I just called, they don't have any in yet. I asked if they could order more because they are always out and they informed me that no they can't order more, they just get in whatever the other company sends them. Now I have to go 1 hour out of my way to get her food. I am not very happy, I like going to your store, but if you can't keep stock, I will go somewhere else even if I have to waste the extra gas to go get what I need.

As an employee of the Huber Heights store, I can tell you that the department managers, and the managers for that matter, have their heads up their ***. That or up other employees ***, such is the case of the feed dept manager.

They can order in the feed, and that store gets feed trucks frequently. However, if he doesn't do his outs then the store won't get it back in. And no one should ever promise you when the shipment will be received into the store.

They take their time sending us what we actually need and send us bs things that we don't. But whoever told you they can't order more of something needs to not be answering phone calls because apparently they have no idea what they are talking about.

If you get an ahold of an assistant manager in the store they can email the buyer in Mattoon, IL to up the on hand of that product. Some stores keep low selling feed items at a very minimum to keep stock fresh and swine feed just isnt a very high seller anymore.

Hopefully that store can establish a personal relationship with you and can take care of your supply need.

Rural King in Circleville, Ohio - Poison in the store

I really enjoyed my Rural King Experience in the beginning. I would bring my young pup to the store for socialization and I buy lots of dog food every time I go to Rural King. The last time I went to Rural King for dog food I picked up a bag and there was a dead flat mouse with blood coming out of it on the shelf under the bag of food. I screamed like a little girl. The manager gave me 50% off the bag of food, which was nice. I understand about feed and mice but this last Friday I went into Rural King again for dog food. I noticed an empty space on a lower shelf that had big bags of dog food and in the empty space was mouse poo all over the shelf with what looked like urine also. Then I see all this mouse poison behind all the bags of food and the bags were actually covered in the blue/green dust from the poison right where you would rip open the bag. This store has a management problem for sure and they should really be smarter about poison around the food!!!!!! I will go somewhere else to buy my dog food from now on and to think I had my little pup in there EWWW!!!!!

Rural King in Saint Clairsville, Ohio - CUSTOMERS

On 2/26/13, at 2:33 PM, my wife and I checked out,we had 12 bags of dog and horse feed, by us both being in our late 50's, we asked for help in loading in our big van. the cashier called for a person to help load, no one came, a 2nd and 3rd call was made, still no show. 3 MALE MANAGERS STOOD THERE AT A SERVICE DESK AND NEVER OFFERED HELP, NOR TO FIND SOMEONE TO HELP. I HAVE A SEVERED BICEP TENDON, BUT MY WIFE AND I LOADED THAT FEED, AND STILL NO ONE CAME OUT. I WANT THE 3 MANAGERS AT THAT DESK FIRED. THIS ISN'T THE END OF THIS!

And after all that deal they still promoted the assistant that refused to help the customer to store manager. The regionals response, "we had no other options".

That seems to be their excuse for everything now a days. But when you only pay 30000 for people to run 15 million stores you get what you get. High turn over and poor service to customers but per corp office that's what they want to keep payroll down.

Use me and burn em.

I am A cashier at that Rural King. I hate the job.

Sara is one of the managers and she is awful! Evan, Mark, and Larry are the only male managers, and I'm pretty suprized that Mark didn't offer help. Evan (Red head) and Larry (Old Guy), it doesn't suprise me that they wouldn't help. I know that the way that store runs stuff is pretty *** up.

I always try to help people load, but of course they *** about it, even if it's slow that day, so to prevent them from *** about it, I don't even tell them I'm helping... I just do it. They dont even know I'm gone. THat just goes to show how much management really cares about their employees.

I applied for a job at Sams Club, and I REALLY REALLY hope they call me. I can't wait to quit this job. If I were you, I would NEVER come back to this store EVER! Tell you family and friends to never come here either.

Put this place out of business! There is no compliments from ANY member of management except from Lauren, but shes not really a manager. Andi is a pretty decent manager, I've had no problems with her. Shannon and I had problems at one point, but shes pretty decent now.

By the way, the reason I'm rambling on is so that just in case one of the managers read this, they may take action.. Now on to the cashiers, Brittany is a ***. Alex, Bryan, Tom, Brandon, and vanessa are great to be around. THe other cashiers I've had no problems with, but don't have a conversations with multiple times per day.

Now onto the general workers... Tyler, shermon, Bonnie, Zack, Allen, Caroline, Arron, and a few others I love to be around. So pretty much anyone else, I have no positive nor negative comments about. I know the loaders take their good old time to help a customer, but I believe that they are busy doing something else...

If their that busy, Rural King should just hire some new employees. People have been filling out applications all day. I've seen very few new employees. HIRE SOME!

Also, Betty Ann is very nice, but she seems to have her phone up to her face 90% of the time, at least when I see her... I'm going to think about it to see if I missed anyone, and if I did, I will be back on here. I chose keep my name private because I believe with how *** up the management is, I would get fired... Also, breaks are only 10 minutes, I know we are not supposed to smoke on our 10's, but I do it anyway...

And I don't understand why, for example, and don't get me wrong, evan is not the only manager that does this... But, on 3/09/2013, I worked until close. He walked the store and we didn't do a very good job zoning and cleaning. I don't understand why he din't help us.

He stood up front and had a conversation with Bryan, who for some reason wasn't helping (Except for in toys), I just wish the managers would help... I am not the only one considering quiting this God awful job. I'm not going to use any names, but abut 7 of us are considering quitting. Anothre thing.

On a slow day, lets say there are 4 cashiers, If one of us goes to do something, the CSM says "I need you to syat at your register". WHY??? Theres 4 of us.

Why can't 2 of us go to the back to hel zone, or help a fricken customer? I'm not done ranting!

I know Whare your coming from. Believe me....

I worked for rural king in Waterloo IL. They suck. They pay $8.25 for $20 labor. The management does not care about the employees or customers they believe that their better than everybody else.

Their *** don't stink.

All rural kings customers and employees in the eyes of management and corporate is a bunch of white trash *** redneck UN worthy dumb ***. If OSHA came in and saw how that company operates they would be shut down.
