Don't work for Rural King, Unless you wanna get screwed on your check!!!

I used to work at Rural King in Decatur, Ind. I recently quit working there, because the bastards took money from me! My final 3 checks didn't match with the hours I worked with the payment I should've recieved. My final check I got I worked 63 hours. I should have received roughly 415 dollars. I only got 218.52!!! Needless to say, I b****ed at my manager, and quit on the spot. Plus, 80% of the products they sell are foreign made!!! I go to Tractor Supply down the road now. So, If you wanna eventually get screwed over, buy from Rural King.

I am surprised you or anyone would quit a job that paid such a high per hour rate. But then a person with your obvious intelligence and qualifications will have absolutely no problem finding another highly-placed position in the job market.

I am in no way associated with Rural King, but I think with the amount of time that passed between the purchase and the defect I can't blame the store for not replacing them. Your complaint should be to Winchester.

Rural King in South Bend, Indiana - Mistreatment of workers and management abuse

I have a friend who just quit the nile michigan store, he has been hounded and lied about by the manager of the store. So as to not paying him for catching a shop lifter and was reported that the manager filed as he did and kept the reward, then demoted him because he had a car accident and couldnt be on time and then still went in after he fixed his car and then not even a week later drug tested him for a broken scanner that did not injure anyone almost 3 months ago. This manager needs to be removed and the store looked into. I mean it is so bad last time i was in there a worker who was off work had to assist me in looking for something because everyone else was just to busy tlaking and screwing around, even the managers and assistants.

What is your friend a wuss? Why couldn't he file the complaint himself? Tell him to grow a spine and file his own complaints.

Rural King in Owensboro, Kentucky - Rebate

Yesterday, I received an email about a denial of a rebate. The rebate ID: D2187915J was submitted 2011- 11 - 18. Can you explain why? I have shopped at Rural King for many years and have been cmpletely sastisfied. This is the first time I have ever sent in a rebate for any purchases. The understanding I got from the clerk at the Henderson, Ky. location was the information that was sent to you. Please give me the correct information that I or my wife should have sent or the information we will need for future rebates. Thanks for your time.

It tells me to put my email address in . Then it wants you to shop for ebate coupons.

I would like to thank you for your time involved. It is good to hear about the rebate. Was the mistake the location number?

Thanks,

Hello,

We were able to research your rebate and discover that the store number was inputted as "18" instead of "8". We have corrected the error and your rebate has been approved for the amount of $14.24. You should receive your rebate through the mail within 1-2 weeks.

Thank You for shopping at Rural King!

I like to shop online! Unfortunately, given Rural King dotcom's lack of customer service, perhaps I should have bought direct from China! WTF I did MY part! Paid several hundred dollars over a week ago for an in-stock item.. The number they gave me didn't track...

For heaven's sake NEVER buy anything that has been "assembled" at Rural King. It will fall apart before you get it home. I've done this twice now and later repairs to both products (done on my own time and my own cost) later revealed missing bolts, washers, lock washers, and half the ones that were present were merely finger-tight.

I try to avoid the place like it was radioactive now, but it carries some products that are only available there in this location. Before I learned my lesson I never saw the same floor or sales help in that store twice. They must have a horrible employee turnover, which does a lot to explain why NO ONE you ask about ANYTHING at Rural King has an answer. They either stand there, staring off into space with their mouths open, or they refer you to the service desk where you can watch them stare into space with their mouths open.

Even with terrible gas prices, I'll drive a LONG way to avoid any contact with the Rural King located in Terre Haute, Indiana. Customer service isn't simply bad there, it doesn't exist at all. Buyer beware!

I absolutely love Rural King! Never had any problems at my local Rural King in Columbus Indiana. Sounds like some of the problems people are complaining about are their local store management. Maybe they should contact the corporate and see if things change. Our rural...

Rural King in Indianapolis, Indiana - Over charged me for 2nd time this summer

For the 2nd time this summer I bought screw, nuts, washers from Kokomo store #24 and was charged for a bolt for $5.99 which I did not buy. I noticed it when I got home like last time and ignored the other time but no more. Today, Aug 18, 2011 4:45 pm you got a big tip from me. If your cashiers do not know a bolt from a screw then you need to find someone who does. We are retired and live on a budget, and have always liked your stores, go there all the time. upset!

u was quoted over the phone that the 5-in-1 shots for puppies were 4.99 and the 7-in-1 for dogs was 6.99. We purchased 20 5-in-1 shots for our puppies, and rang up at 6.99 each, when we told the lady what i was quoted on the phone, she said this is what they rang up...

The 7way is cheaper than the 5way. Never made any sense to me either when I worked there.

But there are NUMEROUS people who would come in on a daily basis wanting a 'deal' because of how much they have to spend there on a monthly basis. Its retail...things dont work that way in retail.

Maybe wholesale or flea markets but not retail....no matter how many people complain about it. My ex husba d would try and swing special prices at places..and like I told him, its not "lets make a deal"

Rural King in Lakewood, Colorado - Shipped a broken product, then would refund it!

Rural king shipped me an EZUP shade tent that was battered and broken. I called them and they said I needed to call EZUP for the replacement. So I called ezup they told me they'd send a new one and I could throw the broken one away/use it for parts. Well they took forever and never shipped it so I said I was finished dealing with waiting for it to ship and I'd like a refund. EZUP said since Rural King took the money, they'd need to be the ones to refund it. Well I called RK again and they took no responsibility for the broken tent and said since I threw it away it was my fault. They also tried to tell me I hadn't called in and spoken to one of their agents because they wouldn't have told me to call EZUP. Instead they went over what they would have done, had I really called in, and said it was out of their hands. Rural King is full of liars and money takers and ships only poor quality products.

This happened to me a while ago, but for a different product. Solution: don't buy from Rural King in Mattoon, IL. The customer isn't their first concern, the customer's money is!
