three weeks ago I went to Rural King in Angola IN. I put a pontoon on lay away. Today I went to pick up my layaway. The front desk says pay for it here and go around to the back of the store to pick up your pontoon. When I got to the rear of the store, the man there...

I bought a chainsaw from rural king. Used it for four days when it started throwing the chain pretty consistently. So i went to return it as this is very dangerous and should have been covered by the manufacturer warranty. The head manager there acted like it was his...

It sounds like you used the saw for what you needed then wanted your money back. If he offered to exchange the saw or give you store credit on a better manufacturer/product he did his job.

Bought 18 trees at Rural King. Cost from $24.99 to $28.99 apiece. After 9 of them died I found out they only have a 30 day return policy. A store Employee in Circleville Ohio told me they had a 6 month return policy when I bought them. You cannot know in 30 days if a...

The biggest problem is that they cannot guarantee it was planted properly and with the unbelievable hot weather we have no control over the weather. Also if you go to a regular nursery those trees would have cost you at least 3 times as much.

Also most employees do not have my experience with tree care. Many employees are lucky if they know the difference between trees as the company does not provide any extensive training in this field

I worked in the battery business for 33 yrs. before retiring, if that is a lawn tractor battery they only give you a 90 day free replacement after that it is pro-rated.

And yea, sorry to say I worked at Exide too, but not for long. I did not like some of their business practices. For instance their so called dual purpose marine battery, we reps. called it an NG for no good.

From what I am seeing now, they are pushing that battery on customers now that I retired. I refused to sell it to any of my customers unless they specifically ordered it, which was rare. I treated my customers right, so they trusted me. I normally sold around 200 to 400 per week in season.

There is nothing like a customer out on the water & the boat want start. As I told them, that consumer will remember you 4-everrrr, as he sits out there stewing.

Don't work for Rural King, Unless you wanna get screwed on your check!!!

I used to work at Rural King in Decatur, Ind. I recently quit working there, because the bastards took money from me! My final 3 checks didn't match with the hours I worked with the payment I should've recieved. My final check I got I worked 63 hours. I should have received roughly 415 dollars. I only got 218.52!!! Needless to say, I b****ed at my manager, and quit on the spot. Plus, 80% of the products they sell are foreign made!!! I go to Tractor Supply down the road now. So, If you wanna eventually get screwed over, buy from Rural King.

I am surprised you or anyone would quit a job that paid such a high per hour rate. But then a person with your obvious intelligence and qualifications will have absolutely no problem finding another highly-placed position in the job market.

Who are you to say what happens with these ppl? This is RURAL KING, not some company on Wall Street.

How does this affect you?

Now, if you were a fellow employee and were experiencing repercussions due to some kind of favoritism then that would be different. You're a bit too invested for a customer, to be honest.

Rural King in Rochester, New York - Shelf price not cost of item

Went to new Rural King in Jeffersonville, In..Very busy. Bought a swing pad..Shelf price under item was $16,99. Rang up as 24.99. Stood in line forever. Finally a girl went and got the tag..16.99..but numbers didn`t match. By that time I just wanted to get out of there..the place was a zoo. I feel they should have given me the difference..new store..shouldn`t have wrong items and prices matched on shelves. Doubt I go back. Can`t get an email to theM. Maybe there is a reason for that!!

Did you ever stop to think, it being a new store and a zoo as you called it that another customer might have placed that swing pad in the wrong place?
