Rural King - Cashier Review from Tampa, Florida

Manager Holly at Terre Haute Rural King is an ***! All she knows how to do is be rude to customers. She has no skills and knows nothing about RurAl King or anything they sell! Rude, fat, arrogant bag of trash she is. Her lil *** kisser Heather likes to cus customers out and then Holly stabds up for her saying that "if customers wouldnt be so *** then her cashier wouldnt cus them out"! What a way to run a business! Ill NEVER EVER spend money at a Rural King again!!! Cant wait till Farm And Fleet comes to town.

I am confused!!! How does this complaint, titled "Rural King - Review about Rude Employee from Tampa, Florida" have anything to do with Tampa, Florida when the alleged incident occurred in Terre Haute, Indiana?

Rather than posting here, why did you not take your complaint to THE store MANAGER David Gibson?

Rural King - Poor Customer Service

I visited the Terre Haute to buy a tiller for my dad on August 23,2014. I asked for help several times, first with a cashier, and then with a manager because the cashier said they wear red shirts. I found a red shirt female, and said I need help finding the right size tiller for my 68 year dad........After waiting 36 minutes, I left. I went to True Value, and purchased one. I will be 100 percent honest, I normally don't shop here, but their sale flyer came in my mom's newspaper, so I decided to give them a try.

PLANO IL RURAL KING NEEDS HELP

THere was a 20 foot sign above all the nursery products in the lot. When I went to checkout my 6...only 6 tomato plants the cashier said they were not nursery products and she would not give me the discount. Since when does 20% off all nursery mean only a few items. The manager was ruder than the cashier. I mean we are only talking a few dollars off. I use to shop there all the time but I have not stepped into that store since. I even tried to call management and got no response. I use to spend about $100 plus there every month on feed and salt,no more.....

Rural King - Customer service was horrible...

I just purchased a battery for my lawn mower that was listed for $29.99 the cashier rang up yhe wrong price and when i questioned it i was sent to customer service and the lady was so rude i could not believe it but she finally gave me back the differance then she told me i should have gotten 10% off my entire purchase but that it was my responsibility to know that not hers. Iwasever so disgusted in my life and i told her i should return everything and get it at walmarts and she said go ahead is this how you want to treat your customers? This occured at the store in Monticello, Indiana...

Rural King - CUSTOMERS

On 2/26/13, at 2:33 PM, my wife and I checked out,we had 12 bags of dog and horse feed, by us both being in our late 50's, we asked for help in loading in our big van. the cashier called for a person to help load, no one came, a 2nd and 3rd call was made, still no show. 3 MALE MANAGERS STOOD THERE AT A SERVICE DESK AND NEVER OFFERED HELP, NOR TO FIND SOMEONE TO HELP. I HAVE A SEVERED BICEP TENDON, BUT MY WIFE AND I LOADED THAT FEED, AND STILL NO ONE CAME OUT. I WANT THE 3 MANAGERS AT THAT DESK FIRED. THIS ISN'T THE END OF THIS!

And after all that deal they still promoted the assistant that refused to help the customer to store manager. The regionals response, "we had no other options".

That seems to be their excuse for everything now a days. But when you only pay 30000 for people to run 15 million stores you get what you get. High turn over and poor service to customers but per corp office that's what they want to keep payroll down.

Use me and burn em.

I am A cashier at that Rural King. I hate the job.

Sara is one of the managers and she is awful! Evan, Mark, and Larry are the only male managers, and I'm pretty suprized that Mark didn't offer help. Evan (Red head) and Larry (Old Guy), it doesn't suprise me that they wouldn't help. I know that the way that store runs stuff is pretty *** up.

I always try to help people load, but of course they *** about it, even if it's slow that day, so to prevent them from *** about it, I don't even tell them I'm helping... I just do it. They dont even know I'm gone. THat just goes to show how much management really cares about their employees.

I applied for a job at Sams Club, and I REALLY REALLY hope they call me. I can't wait to quit this job. If I were you, I would NEVER come back to this store EVER! Tell you family and friends to never come here either.

Put this place out of business! There is no compliments from ANY member of management except from Lauren, but shes not really a manager. Andi is a pretty decent manager, I've had no problems with her. Shannon and I had problems at one point, but shes pretty decent now.

By the way, the reason I'm rambling on is so that just in case one of the managers read this, they may take action.. Now on to the cashiers, Brittany is a ***. Alex, Bryan, Tom, Brandon, and vanessa are great to be around. THe other cashiers I've had no problems with, but don't have a conversations with multiple times per day.

Now onto the general workers... Tyler, shermon, Bonnie, Zack, Allen, Caroline, Arron, and a few others I love to be around. So pretty much anyone else, I have no positive nor negative comments about. I know the loaders take their good old time to help a customer, but I believe that they are busy doing something else...

If their that busy, Rural King should just hire some new employees. People have been filling out applications all day. I've seen very few new employees. HIRE SOME!

Also, Betty Ann is very nice, but she seems to have her phone up to her face 90% of the time, at least when I see her... I'm going to think about it to see if I missed anyone, and if I did, I will be back on here. I chose keep my name private because I believe with how *** up the management is, I would get fired... Also, breaks are only 10 minutes, I know we are not supposed to smoke on our 10's, but I do it anyway...

And I don't understand why, for example, and don't get me wrong, evan is not the only manager that does this... But, on 3/09/2013, I worked until close. He walked the store and we didn't do a very good job zoning and cleaning. I don't understand why he din't help us.

He stood up front and had a conversation with Bryan, who for some reason wasn't helping (Except for in toys), I just wish the managers would help... I am not the only one considering quiting this God awful job. I'm not going to use any names, but abut 7 of us are considering quitting. Anothre thing.

On a slow day, lets say there are 4 cashiers, If one of us goes to do something, the CSM says "I need you to syat at your register". WHY??? Theres 4 of us.

Why can't 2 of us go to the back to hel zone, or help a fricken customer? I'm not done ranting!

my husband gets paid every Friday so we go in and look once a week sometimes we buy stuff some time we don't .When we were looking around employs kept following us around and i didn't think to much about it at the time. so we go to the other side of the store...

Rural King - Decatur Assistant Managers

The male assistant manager at the Rural King in Decatur is a joke. He does not know where anything in the store is at and just seems to be very lazy. I have been in there on several different occasions and refuse to deal with him. Also, he told me that I could return items (a pair of boots, and a couple shirts that I had bought for a christmas present) when I talked to "Steve" over the phone but when I went in there on that Sunday the cashier said that she did not think that they were not allowed to return boots. Funny that your cashiers know policy better than so called "management!"

Who are you to say what happens with these ppl? This is RURAL KING, not some company on Wall Street.

How does this affect you?

Now, if you were a fellow employee and were experiencing repercussions due to some kind of favoritism then that would be different. You're a bit too invested for a customer, to be honest.

Rural King - Horrible customer service

I have been shopping the Rural King in columbus indiana for several years. I live 35 miles away, and with gas prices the way they are right now, I consider that "loayaty. I went in this last week to purchase some baby chickens and supplies. I won't be shopping there anymore. First, out of almost 20 containers of assorted chicks, none of them were marked. When I ask an employee, I recieved a complaint session about how she had taken vacation and when she came back, this was how it was. She helped another customer, then walked off and just left me standing there. I stayed in the area, trying to id the chicks, she could see me, and never offered any service. I finally had to go over to her, before I could say anything, another employee walked up to her, and they stood there for at least 5 minutes, complaining about another employee, ignoring me. I was standing within 3 foot of them! Finally I was able to ask for help, which was a joke. She was dismissive, because I didn't know what I was getting for sure I chose more than one type of chick. Which seemed to frustrate her. She ask me "just how many was I going to get"? I said at least 20. She says, then thats what I'm writing on the ticket! I wanted more, but now I was getting upset. I said something about having to pay full price for chicks that I wasn't sure I was getting what I wanted, her repy was "that's the price". When I cashed out at the register, I let the cashier know I was upset, she blew me off also. I was so upset I just paid for my stuff and left. Over $100. I knew if I said anything else, I was going to get all kinds of ***, I was really upset. Then when I got home. The icing on the cake, I was shorted 3 chicks! Rural King just lost a loyal customer, and I work in a factory of 270 people, I am respected there and have worked there for years. I will post this complaint in our monthly company flier, and urge fellow employees to shop anywhere but Rural King.

Rural King - Change prices at the register

Rural King in Terre Haute is very bad about having sale prices posted on items, but registers charge full price. Bought several items there a couple of weeks ago that were on sale but cashier rung them up full price. This was even after I told her the correct prices. She rang my order up THREE times and it was still wrong. She finally got prices right, BUT charged me for an item that I did not get or have. Had to call management and drive all the way back to Terre Haute for my refund. Then the other day they tried to charge me 34 dollars for a grease gun. It was marked 12.99 in aisle. I checked on website and 12.99 is the correct price. Be warned YOU need to watch them very closely.

I also meant to add that it's our part as the consumer to look at the receipt before we leave the store if we don't want to have to make that return drive. Really people lets start taking responsibilty for our lives.

I wish people would realize it isn't the cashiers fault when a price rings up as it does. The computer is set by a person at coporate headquarters.

I've seen more then one cashier get yelled at for something like this and stepped in right away to help.

If a price is ringing up wrong call a manager over and have then see that the computer tech person needs a call. I've shopped at a Rural King and if there is ever a price difference they ALWAYS fix it if that's what the sign says.
